I don't understand this need to alter Kearsney Abbey. It is glorious as it is. It has a natural feel to it - as if man hasn't interfered too much. There are places in Dover District that need money to improve them; Kearsney Abbey is not one of them. There may be a case for a newer, larger cafe (leaving the current building alone) but that's about it. It is a delightful walk and a delightful place for children, dog owners (and their dogs). I reckon people in the District agree since it is a very well used open space for people from all over Dover and beyond. Leave it alone. Spend the money where it is needed more. But silly me, the people who make these decisions probably never set foot in the place until they want to sell their schemes.
