Get your Butt`s down to the seafront tomorrow morning for the publican`s walk along the sea front. Visit the clock tower end for the start at 10.30. Not well publicised this event, so needs your support. You can sponsor if you wish, but just get down there and give Jeanette and other`s your support. I`ll treat anyone I see from here down there tomorrow with my jackpot winnings tonight.

It is an Annual events held by Dover Lions for any pub that wants to enter,they wear fancy dress and walk up and down he seafront,all the money raised goes to the Lions Senior Citizens Christmas Party.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

I`d never heard of it Howard till this afternoon from Jeanette. As John says above, it`s dressing up, and in this case, the theme is the mad hatter`s tea party.

Just a freindly reminder for todays event. You can also view the new promenade if you`re down there today, and give your comment`s on it. Was it worth the cost and the last few month`s upheavel or not?

Have seen the publicans walk for a number of years and yes some good costumes. it tends to be quite small so I guess thats why it doesnt get the publicity.
But yes indeed this year they will be able to use the all new seafront. I would get a picture of it right this minute as people are strolling on it, bit unusual for this hour to see people strolling about, so all are curious...but not worth a picture right now as its such a grey morning, wouldnt show it at its best. It all still hasnt weathered in and with no plants and so forth it looks a tad raw, but it will improve.

pity the weather was so drab met colin and jeanette down there, jeanette was dressed in a kinky outfit and dispensed drinks.
loved the new promenade, will look stunning once turf and flower beds are installed.

Glad I managed to make it this morning, and just caught this line up posed for a picture. All the cast from Alice in Wonderland were there, Alice being second from left in the picture, and when she`s not Alice, she`s Jeanette. As PaulB and Howard mention above, the weather was a little gloomy, but there were a few spectators about, though thin on the ground.
