  I don't think Danial would go to the USA and just slag off the NHS, I'm sure this has been taken out of context.
  
  I think we all agree that there are problems with the NHS that money itself will not cure and these are the things that do need changing.
  
  A small example, is when Jean went into hospital in December '03 for her kidney transplant and stayed there, more or less, till the end of the following July because she kept getting "Hospital Acquired Infections".
  
  The infections were so bad they killed the (new) kidney and so it had to come out again.
  
  You could see the wards and toilets were filthy, but no one seemed to care; Consultants would check open wounds without wearing gloves, or cleaning their hands etc.
  
  There must be many other examples of where improvements are needed, including funding.
