  Rick - I broadly agree with what you are saying and if 'anti-Islam' was all the BNP were all about, yes that would not make them rascist. But there is more the the BNP than that, they are deeply rascist to their core. The muslim issue is simply one they are using to capitalise on people's fears and prejudice.
  
  One thing though Rick connected with what you are saying, I am deeeply concerned by the so called 'hate legislation' brought in by this Government. They have gone way beyond what is reasonable in restricting free speech. I would agree that anyone spouting hatred and encouraging violence should be clamped down on but where do you draw the line? People have been told they are not allowed to object to planning applications by travellers as a result of this legislation. Some see anything that can be construed as critisism of religion, race or even sexual orientation as a reason to bring in the police. An elderly lady complains to her Council about them allowing a 'gay march' and gets a visit from the police, the council accusing her of a hate crime because she expressed her religious convictions in her objection and despite there being no threats or risk of violence. Yet those muslim extremist protesters were allowed to carry those banners.....crazy.
  
  One further thing that emerged over the weekend.
  
  A former Government adviser has blown the whistle over the open borders policy of the Labour Government. They did it as a social engineering exercise and for political reasons, hoping to portray Conservatives as rascist. Well that backfired on them contributing to the rise of the BNP.
