I don't know, I think some people think, us, the public are very stupid indeed. Reading through my 'issue' of 'People Talk' yesterday, I felt truly patronised.
Firstly, I don't read 'Take a Break' magazine or love associated formats just because I live in a town with high levels of deprivation.
Secondly, because someone eats fry-ups on the pier and likes walking their dog, it doesn't make them 'like the rest of us'. It just makes them someone that likes eating fry-ups and walking their dog.
Now as I always say, I think Charlie Elphicke is a good man. But whoever suggested this 'publication' was a good idea, really does have a low opinion of the local electorate. It could well be the same person that has told David Cameron to wear a suit without a tie, because it makes you look 'more normal'. Is anyone being fooled by this? Tie or no tie, all I can see is the image of him in his etonian attire, a constant reminder that he does not represent me.
