Alright, so far so good. Now let's consider this one: there ARE laws in Britain and in other countries around the world that impose strict STATE planning to curb carbon emmissions. It has to do with climatic change, and can also be considered useful in reducing the cost of importing petrol (freight transport by HGV requires much more carbon energy than by train). Let's not get stuck in an argument into whether climate change is caused by carbon emmissions ot not, but consider that carbon pollution does exist, whether it does or doesn't causes a change in the climate.
Having stated all this, the only conclusion I can come to is that by law, Britain has to increase rail traffic for freight and curb transport by road, otherwise Britain would HAVE to scrap the laws on carbon emmissions! Either one, or the other.
So let's give this one thought and see if it can become a topic for the DHB and Councils in Dover to work on, and if some of our forumites can bring the subject up at the appropriate office!
