I am very assured that the majority of Dover forum share my concern over the miss use of funds regarding the Dover Pride arts project.I am still very concerned however, that a hard working and dilligent business person has had to be subjected to this form of sabotage, without any regards to the economic impact on her livelyhood.Has the lady in question got any avenue for redress on this.Because as we all know if an accusation is made, once it is in the public domain, it is very hard to dismiss it.I think a public apology at the very least should be made to this local hard working business woman.
Why has the funding for this all been designated to outside interests,I have even heard the rumour that the all the signage around the old bus depot went to outside organisations. Is there no business in Dover that would have benefited from this contract?. If this is supporting Dover, some serious questions have to be confronted and addressed.

if it is council money then bids for the tender must come from any firm interested in tendering, they would not be allowed to give preference to dover businesses.
i do not know if dover pride work under such constraints.
There are ways Howard, and we all know it.

John and others make some very valid points.
I, too am appalled by the situation you describe and have asked that the matter be looked into.
Howard also is correct in dealing with contracts and tenders. It's your money.
Both my wife and I received excellent service when we visited and shopped at Neet Feet some months back.
It is hard enough surviving on "High Street's" these days without what is described above and the previous thread.

Yes to the first and thanks for the second.

A few questions someone may be able to answer:
Dover Pride has been running for how long?
What has it cost so far?
What has it achieved so far?

I think I know the answer to your last question, Sid.
Two words, last one 'all'.
True friends stab you in the front.
