Up here at sunny St Rads we have issues of the local recycling, my family are avid at doing our bit for this project. We separate the items yet still the past four months on and off the amount has not been fully taken , which leaves me wondering why ? is there a maximum amount they take? is there anyone i can complain to? HELP!
I have heard that the DDC is looking for tenders for the recycling - perhaps no-one is doing it at present. Over Christmas and during the snow we had a tremendous build up of uncollected recycling down here at windy Gateway.
We got in the car and took ours to the recycling place; simples.

Mel I don't think there is a maximum, but I do know it is changing or not depending if you get green waste at the moment later this year E-mail me and I will follow it up,what aren't they taking.See you SATURDAY!
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

I have noticed that certain types of plastic are not taken. If you leave the top on a plastic milk bottle, for example, then they won't take it. Same goes for any plastic bottle which has plastic label still attached.

If at first you don't succeed, use a BIGGER hammer!!
The plastic bottle tops are not recyclable and as there is no process to remove them there is little point in leaving them on. We used to leave our tops on but have now taken to binning the tops and recycling the bottles. It works, no problem.
Nope this isnt bottle tops its the whole bottle, the paper etc they leave behind. j hg we will be there and looking forward to it.
A joyous day has sprung! my recycling has ALL been taken, a once in a lifetime event i wanted to share with you all . lol
