Point taken Jan.
Unless leading politicians are in town for pure electioneering, they tend to have a programme of locations & activities relevant to their departmental responsibilities.
Example is IDS visiting East Kent Light Railway at Sheperdswell to be briefed on skills & apprenticeships.
The latest visit was organised a week ago & dates changed as events transpired. That was fortunate for traders in Deal & residents as the original programme only included Discovery Park.
I do take your point though.
I expect ministers to visit Dover in those areas you identified where programmes such as Troubled Families are taking place.
Big Locals might also attract attention when it starts allocating cash to projects.
