    You are right about sweating over a hot stove ...last night I cooked Roast Lamb,Roast Potatoes,Leeks Au Gratin (with a slug of white wine....in The Leeks Bern!!!!not me )Carrots & Cabbage and gravy you could stand a fork up in. 10 of us were seated and I reckon the whole meal cost about £30...Whats my point? Good honest home cooked food sat round a table with family is far better than stopping at a food station to refuel. It wasn't any type of special event other than I wasn't workiing and everyone else was...

    Beer Festival starts today in the Peoples Park.Large Marquees abound so I'm off to sample a few sherbets...
