    In fact Ernest Byford was a few years younger than Nellie, 3 years younger, and on the marriage certificate he gave an earlier date of birth!
    The ancestry agency I contacted years ago found this out.

    Well it seems you found out a whole history of the Byfords in Essex. That will certainly help me further.
    Essex: does this mean I'm an East Saxon?
