I hate to be an old fuddy duddy, but it was better when the pubs had Offies and could keep an eye on things. It isn't always the shops - it's the (apparently) adults who are stupid and moronic enough to buy for the youngsters. Given the potential effects of their actions, they should feel the full weight of the law. If you know of someone who buys booze for the underage, turn them in! There is no consistency, though - I understand that there have been times when adults buying booze in their weekly shop, which they are doing with their kids, have been refused the booze...........where's the sense?
