  Yes I go as far back as Callan although I wasnt a particular fan of it..but it was very popular. My brother, and this is way back in my days in 'de emerald oisle', used to love it.
  
  There was a delipated little miserable smelly guy in it called Lonely, who used to work for Callan who was something shady from the Intelligence Services. The whole thing was an exerciese in the downbeat. Edward Woodward was very well liked and went on to do a number of very successful parts, culminating in The Equaliser.. This Equaliser programme was quite brilliant for a while but unfortunately in time fell victim to political correctness in the USA and everything was softened up so that it became a kind of " My uncle Equaliser!"
