    Its sad news alright..he gave us a lot of terrific entertainment over the years. As a young guy I was a keen Danger Man fan. The opening credits with the snazzy little sportscar were a bit of an attraction too. It looked like an early Morgan or perhaps a Lotus. Then came The Prisoner which was certainly revolutionary in terms of broadcasting at the time.

    "I am not a number I am a free man" was on everyones lips.

    After that he returned to the US. (He was born there but grew up in Ireland) and went striaght into the semi lead in hollywood movie
    "Ice Station Zebra" as I remember, and Im writing from memory only. I dont think the Americans took to him as a leading man as he was something of an eccentric performer but he found lots of work as a nastyish villain over the years.

    Cant beleive he was 80. Where do the years go.
