    Ignorant destructive w*nker yoofs aside, Kearsney Abbey is still a gem.

    Spent 95 per cent of my childhood with my friends there. We played football and cricket all the time, climbed trees, jumped in the river, played pitch and putt, made camps up Coxhill Mount and scrabbled about on the Abbey ruins by Waterfall Stores. Happy days.

    An absolute diamond of a place, still very dear to my heart, and that of my family.
