The post you are reporting:
Howard the leakage is as you say just being bounced back and forward, no one wants to know.
It may even not be a leak at all, the water is so clear and there were traces of chlorine in the water when the EA checked it. How many rivers do you know with chlorine? No one wants to make a decision and investigate it fully.
Water Board, E.A.. Highways, The District Council, they have all been and gone and no one gives any answers, they do not give a dam. We have sent letter after letter it makes no difference and now they do not even reply. If it is a leak, it is certainly getting worse and water just has this little old way of one day letting you know its' there, then they will all come a running saying it was not their fault.
Highways took the Mill fence down, part of the wall, dug the big hole walked away and said not our problem and left it in a mess. The Water board said it's not a water leak, said not our problem and left, E.A Came looked, said we will write to Highways and we will be back, that was 6 months ago and the District Council did exactly the same.
The path gets slime on it, the Mill staff clean it up but one day some one will slip and then who pays and if the water bursts through and damages homes, who will pay for that?.
Yes the River up stream looks good but that is because we care and we try but we are a small band of volunteers, we can not do every thing on our own.
