    Howard, that's a bit harsh - interfere; don't forget that Sue is a District Councillor, responsible for the whole District as well as where she represents.

    I don't know if there is a proper definition of a village, but the definition in a dictionary, may be be different from a political definition.

    All around Dover are villages with Parish Councils and some areas grow well beyond a village (as has Whitfield), but still retail that status - and proudly so too. Try taking a Parish Council away from where there is one and you'd be shot.
