  i must admit that when i saw that gobbledegook there i thought that (knowing roger's interest in attracting more overseas visitors) he had tried to appeal to potential japanese tourists.

  I hadnt seen that...Well it looks as if that page is ruined. Its not possible to spend all ones time deleting stuff like that as it would become an almighty chore and bore...Id rather put a sign up on my door that said
  "Gone Fishing"
  
  We dont have enough manpower as it is to get round to everything.
  
  Pages like that are open to the public to give them a free space to advertise events but see what happens....sigh...

  Its a real shame seeing that, I saw it like that the other day when I put the next DCR meeting for January 24th (7pm Phoenix Club) on there and thought what a shame. I get that all the time on my guestbook on my site Paul and I know what you mean - the deleting does get very, very tedious.
