    i listened this evening to a former boss of channel 5, he reckoned the idea was(as mentioned previously) to get yoof listening.

    his argument was that yoof are not all stupid and are not necessarily impressed by swearing from middle aged men.

    i thought that was a very good point.
    incidentally the controller of radio 2 has now fallen on her sword.

    she said it was purely her own decision!!
