Well normally we complain about them being late and shoving cards through our door..
well at 7.10am this morning.. i was awoken by the door bell, quickly followed by the dog going mad ( bear in mind , the van was on the drive! Great guard dog I have!) and it was a postie..
i looked like pants, he has runined my only day for a lie in, but at the same time... wow... thats dedication!!

JENNIE;
I think they do a fair job, and not everyone gets there mail at 0710, all depends where you are on that posties round, he has to start and finish somewhere.
Our mail always arrives between 1130 and midday, but for me it's usually only bills so not realy bothered what time it gets here.

I have nothing but praise for Royal Mail. Parcel post is normally at about 7.45 (with me normally in the shower having been out with the dog) and when it's Bill, the usual postman, the normal mail is here at about 8.45. On his day off however the replacement postie (a lady with a pony tail) has a different route and gets here at about 11ish.

The regular parcel man is brilliant

. He called in the shop one day to tell me I had left my keys in the door

and told me where he had put them as he was not sure if I was working that day.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Last Saturday we had two post men on overtime to deliver on aycliffe but not till 2.30 in afternoon and the tracked item that was sent on the 2nd july still did not come until 7 days later, as soon as possible I would like to see the back of this royal mail and they only have themselves to blame.

Alan
I have sympathy with your plight, but as i say not everyone can have there mail early, he/she has to start/finish somewhere, so someone will get mail early others late depending where on the round they are.
Of course all the uncertainty over royal mail would probably make them think twice about recruiting
And i cannot see any improvement b y royal mail being replaced

I was tempted to do a "paste up" but thought that I might end up in the Tower!
