On Sunday 13th between 2 and 4 is the Royal Marine Concert at Walmer - a not to be missed event. They are SUPERB. No charge - bring a picnic - in fact they will be practicing from much earlier.
My mother went and siad she had a wonderful time. With the band playing some favourite pieces and making it feel like last night at the proms. Her only moan was having to que up for one of only two ladies toilets for a crowd of over 5000 people. Not very convenient for an 82 year old.
The next event is the Old Comrades band of ex Royal Marines on 24th August! Look on their pages for other events as they hold concerts sundays and wednesdays.
The next Prom in the Park at Rippledale is on 1st August where it is a bring your own dinner affair with the Becker orchestra and tickets are £12 - I will get them for anyone interested.

There are so many things happening in the area and in Dover this year.
It sounds as though I missed out on a great concert there, with Forumites aplenty, a good time to break out the Pimms as in 'that's ten of you and one of me'
