Two Bands of the Royal Marines will perform at Walmer this afternoon. The Portsmouth Band will give a Concert on the Bandstand and the Collingwood Band will perform a March Past from the Former Barracks Site near the Memorial Gradens [20 years this September]in Canada Rd. and carry on along the Strand. Expect many thousands to be present today.
Performances start at 2.00pm. If you are coming get there early otherwise you might be listening to the music from Kingsdown or Sandwich.

I do hope the weather brightens up for them, and doesn't dampen people's support - my thoughts go to all those who were affected by this tragedy - one of my friend's husband was injured in this blast so I still recall this as if it was not so long ago - I can't believe that it was 20 years ago.
