I've had a reply already from Waste Services, here it is:
Cllr Walkden.
"Plastic sacks and bags are not recyclable and should not be presented for collection in the recycling bins or boxes. Where items are left in a bag , the contents can be taken but due to the high rates of contamination currently being reported, the bags will not be taken. Recycling should be left loose in the bin/box for collection. Cards are left by the contractors if the bin/box is not emptied and the reason is marked on the card
Regards.
How exactly does this compare with how you put your rubbish out Sheila ? It sounds slightl;y different.
DDC and Veolia have a contract for waste collection and the conditions are quite strict, so I will let Paul know where they seem to be deviating.
