When I was younger(yes I was once lol)
my dad always told me put some coppers in the Sally army tin, during the war he told me, the sally army were realy good and helpful to him and those with him.
Not being around at that time I have taken this advice and put my dosh in the sally army tin when I see them around.
Any one got any views on the sally army's bunch of dedicated staff?
Theres always around when theres a crisis

Like the BBC, the SA perpetuate the use of brass bands. I detest brass band music, so it's a thumbs down for them from me.

The SA found a long lost relative for me. I love hearing the brass bands at Christmas time.

The Sally Ann is a national institution. The local man I know is Captain Peter West who is a thoroughly decent man with whom I worked on the Regatta Core Group for two years.

Keith, I`m not very familiar with what the Salvation army does, (only the basics), but although I`ve never taken to brass bands, like Jeane above, I`ve always liked to hear them at Christmas time if they`re about. I couldn`t listen to them on cd though.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

Thet comfort people
help people suc as the homeless.
Always around when theres a crisis, to talk to families, help families, to comfort.
Don't know if we have any other views/knowlege posters can share.
At the end of the day my Dad told me they were a blessing during the war time

I didn't know Peter had moved on - sad to see - but I'm sure his replacement will work just as hard as Peter did. Thanks to Vic & Keith for telling me.
