    It costs £1 for a car to go through the tollgate if you are going to the Bird Observatory a little way along there.
    If you haven't been, it's very interesting and always a lot of people on hand to advise and talk about our feathered friends, a lovely shop with big range of bird food, feeders, nest boxes, beautiful greeting cards, etc. etc. and if you wash up afterwards you can make yourself a cup of tea/coffee in the kitchen. Most days (I think) they do bird ringing, early in the mornings probably, which you can se (by arrangement).
    On several occasions we have taken them old birds nests which fell out of the trees or taken out of bird boxes in October each year, they have lots of school parties and these are always welcome, along with bird books etc.
