    I think your last point Sid about powers, is very valid.

    PCSO's have very limited powers and it is the Chief Constable of Kent I believe, who decide what powers they can have.
    Many other Counties' PCSO's have many more powers than ours (Kent) do, so it certainly isn't the fault of the PCSOs, but what they are limited to do.

    The ones we've had in the Maxton ElmsVale and Priory Ward, have been worth their weight in Gold.
