The Scrabble League is set to start on Tuesday evenings at The White Horse in St James' Street on Tuesday 14th September; we have just about enough to make the league work, but have vacancies for another 3 or 4 members. We shall be holding a 'getting to know one another' evening the week before on 7th September from 7.30 pm, to which all are very welcome.
The League will be a lighthearted, welcoming affair.....the idea is to have a bit of a laugh whilst enjoying competitive Scrabble with people who we hope will become friends; all this, and supporting a great local pub through the quieter winter months.
One or two members on here have signed up, and I shall be contacting you all individually in the next week or so to make sure you know of the evening - and, if you want to join, there's still time - either on this forum or through my email address,
