Good to see that information there Ed. That confirms it.
Well done with the photos lads..good one of the David Church.
Thanks Martin..ah yes Southampton, i saw her going back up the channel later that day in the very rough far distance. A glutton for punishment! No takers in the restaurant for the mutton stew and dumplings. And the chef tried so hard... !!

Here are a couple of sea related seafront pictures rather than sea pictures..
the weather has been extremely rough as we all know. With more vicious weather forecast for today on the channel. The SHIPPING FORECAST states that there will be winds varying between 'Severe Gale 9' and 'Violent Storm 11' in the channel today. Now...that is rough. lets hope everyone keeps okay out there as a Violent Storm 11 is rare.

First picture shows the chap from OCS cleaning services as he tries in vain to clear the beach after the stormy weather thursday night. Impossible task..the debris and the seaweed everywhere, all washed up in abundance.

During the high winds whipping in off the sea the guys on the Gateway scaffolding still try to carry on..look at the way the yellow mesh material is blowing and whipping about...

Brace yourself for more of the same today according to the weather boffins.
