Lol!! Brian yes indeed it will be June by the looks of things before we see the sun bustin out all over...so far it has been one long miserable Spring, if you could call it Spring. Things are still very quiet all round too.
Today though, for a brief moment, the sun almost filtered through the eternal grey and it did get a bit brighter. Took the opportunity in this brief lightness of being to take a few pix of the familiar oul workhouse but now with a fresh lick of dulux...the Nord Pas de Calais with a full load onboard. This is the freight only arm of My Ferry Link.
Good luck to My Ferry Link in the coming season. Overall it does look a tad crowded on the cross channel run now but there are not only French jobs at stake but up to 35 English ones too ...so here's wishing them well..
Also..
The news has come in that DHB may be forced into accommodating LIVE exports again though the Port. Chris has the story on the frontpage and I see there is also a thread running. Will keep a watch on that to see if I can get any pictures when the time comes. I remember this unfortunate business being carried on previously and its not nice for anybody..a piddling little vessel did the honours. But we will wait and see on that one.
"The ship ( MV Joline ) will be subject to stringent operational rules and a full evaluation of the berthing trial will be carried out before any final decision is made as to the suitability of the vessel to operate from the Port of Dover. DHB understands that Barco de Vapor intends principally to carry livestock transporter vehicles to and from Calais." said DHB.
