Good bit of info there Martin re Pride of Kent. I thought initially like AndyB but then saw the energetic arc welders flashing through the gloom. There seems to be plenty of work being done..as they all worked through the night last night, plenty of lights flooding the activity. Good to see some extra life over there on the western docks.
Another slate grey cold day today, but another arrival to brighten the gloom.
Pity it is such a gloomy cold day, as its not showing Dover at its best to all the passengers onboard the AIDA LUNA.
This is a much bigger vessel than yesterdays minnow..and with the traditional AIDA colour...

German company AIDA are one of the big big callers this year. here is a section of the recent DHB press release.
"Those cruise lines showcasing their new ships from Dover include AIDA who has confirmed its commitment to Dover by increasing the number of calls to the Port. The AIDAstella, fresh from its maiden voyage will be offering a new four-day city tour from Dover covering Amsterdam and Hamburg." Interesting little voyage mentioned there.
At almost 70,000 tons it takes a bit of turning. But this lady is for turning..with the aid of the tugboats Doughty and Dauntless just out of shot. You can just see the tow ropes there as they tug her vast bulk around.
