The livestock vessel as seen in post 437 and 439 has vacated the scene. No sign of her this morning...she slipped away under cover of darkness! I saw the pilot boat battling its way out to her yesterday evening and I thought..eh yup!! something's afoot. But no..so all speculation has quietly dissipated.

While all this was happening last evening I saw this one glide by in the hazy late sunlight..its a fair bit out so not hugely clear..but cutting quite a dash as you can see...

I suspected straight away that it was one of the Queens and indeed it was..the Queen Victoria, another fab 90,000 tonner ..and on its way to Le Havre. I have never been to Le Havre myself but have been across the estuary at Honfleur..and very special it is too.

Meanwhile a short time later, the five star Deutchland moved out in fading light into the channel...
after another successful trip to Dover

The familiar AIDA Luna is approaching as i write....
