    Interesting notions there guys...

I was rushed putting up the My Ferry Link picture above with the press release as had to trawl quickly. But here now with more time are a few more shots of the MFL guys in operation. Speaking from a personal viewpoint I would be sorry to see them go..I was a regular traveller with Seafrance,( no wonder they went bust says you..lol ) was hardly ever on P&O and only travelled DFDS for the first time last week as many of you will have noted with the Dunkerque pictures.

Ever since I have been living here in delightful Dover, gawping out at the ferries, there have always been three seperate fleets in operation..example NorfolkLine, Seafrance, and P&O all together for quite some time until the failure of Seafrance of course. However i do understand the Eurotunnel problem but surely a problem that can be overcome. We must remember too the awful prospect of job losses. Dover mightily mightily short of jobs.

The Port expressed gladness at having the extra capacity recently so there we are..more capacity more choice..less cost to the punter perhaps. We now await a statement from the Port of Dover and news of the appeal from My Ferry Link and Eurotunnel.

but here we are with the MFL pictures..
the following one looks like it was taken off a holiday brochure but no.. yours truly took same while standing on the beach in Calais

    ahhh..summer days above...remember them?
The Rodin with sailing boats Dover Harbour.

and now this morning...couple of good cruise liners in this morning..the Crystal Serenity and our old friend the Ryndam
Got a picture of the striking Crystal Serenity very early..probably about 5.30am and here she is..

Also note on the old doverforum frontpage this morning have put up a collection of pictures of huge container ships..
see the Blogs link at top of page. I seem to be doubling up with the sea pictures..here and there.
