Unusual to see a warship but passed two this afternoon.
USS Mount Whitney, mentioned earlier in this thread, transited southbound after port visits to Ventspils in Latvia and Kiel in Germany after visiting Lisbon on the way round from the Mediterranean where she is flagship of the US Sixth Fleet. At the same time, the German frigate Hamburg was transiting northbound.
