    Imported animals waiting in shipping crates and cages at the Dover Port could be dying of heat exhaustion and dehydration. Yet animal advocates have been denied the opportunity to inspect Dover Port's facilities and keep animals safe.

    The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has asked to inspect live animals being transported to and from England via the southern port at Dover. In high summer heat, the RSPCA rightfully worries that the animals are overheated and do not have sufficient air, food, and water to survive their long waits in captivity.But the Dover Harbour Board which controls access to the port is refusing to cooperate..."
