Took wifey to Sandgate yesterday for a scan and drove the usual way back reasonably ok til we got to Canterbury Road (Folkestone) up to the roundabout. It took 2 hours to negotiate the roundabout with much slipping and sliding with all wheels locked with all there rolling sleeves up to help each other out of a cringing mess (how we missed colliding still baffles me).
I left the folks on the roundabout my large beachtowel (which helped me get to the side of the road) and we abandoned the car and stayed with friends for the night.
Today spent 3 hours in tailnack on M20.
To say that the road services were 'Prepared' makes me curse as the only gritter I saw last night was empty (on it's way to be filled). We were taking off what was left with ouir hands as he passed us and this was at the height of the blizzard!
Did see a snow plough on the Jubilee Way moving up to The Duke of York.
