    The trouble is that grit (actually salt) only reduced the freezing temperature of water to stop it from freezing. What we had was dry roads with grit on it, but the snow that came down wasn't wet so grit won't have any affect on it. Unless there is any water in the mix then the process can't start.

    Not sure we can blame KCC on the type of weather...
