Well now this is no ordinary ex tory member, this was the ex leader of the tory party and its a hung council which will have major implications for Essex

There is always a bit of traffic between Parties which is not always for the reasons claimed. I find the following link a much more interesting statement on the state of the Labour party.

I think that says more about the misguided Mr. Hipsley than party policy.

you never say that when someone defects to the conservatives.
then it is down to the defector seeing the light on the road to damascus.
it remains to be seen whether mr hipflask does the full ken and moves around them all before disappearing without trace.

Yes, howard sady the BNP may well make gains, maybe a European seat also. Dreadful prospect that and the blame is all down to political correctness.

Sorry folks , the original post is inaccurate. The guy that defected was from the hung council of Thurrock not the Leader of Essex CC , Lord Hannningfield, who is currently opening up rural Post Offices & setting up local authority banks on the French & Spanish model.

i totally disagree with your contention about the reason for the rise of the BNP.
they have grown outward due to the total disinterest of the main parties in the indiginous population.
with the help of the labour and conservative parties, they have changed their image very cleverly into the style of the french national front, and made themselves electable.
in june my predictions will all come true.
