alternatively looking at the side of other flats.

As this is Southern Housing, it will affordable/social housing. I am in total agreement with Howard, SH do not have even a reasonable track record of "good" tenants.
I can't/won't say they are all troublesome families, but they don't have a tight tenancy agreement on behaviour and they don't check out their tenants after they move in unless someone (me in a few cases) complains.
It'll be a shame if that lovely block is messed up by bad people.
