Did anyone just get a chance to see the free Spitfire display over lunchtime ? I assume it was to do with Walletts Court. Did a low flypast of the Castle, but I had left my camera in the car :(
Been nice knowing you :)

I was down there an hour ago Paul, just back from a run to Deal. Camera always with me, but as you can see, I never heard it or knew about it, Damn!
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

Sky Charter (the helicopter company that fly from the beach over the Regatta weekend) have hooked up with Walletts Court (and/or The Thatched Barn at Farthingloe) and provide a wedding package that you can fly by helicopter and be accompanied by a Spitfire.....Jane Carruthers has the gen on this one.
Jane?

The spitfire flew overhead as I headed into town, first I'd heard about it, another photo opportunity goes west

My youngest daughter loves planes and she spotted it overhead first. Great sight.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

The power of Dover Forum! My info, although correct, was short of the mark......apparently anyone can book this Spitfire/Helicopter combo if the pockets are deep enough. The website to visit is
www.skycharteruk.co.uk and follow the link to "Battle of Britain by Helicopter".
And, if your pockets aren't deep enough, I'm sure posh Barry has the funding!

must cost a small fortune, barry would have to flog off a lot of the family silver and the louis 14th chandelier to cover the cost.
Hi all, the girls you need to talk to are Elaine & Ellen @ Skycharter. They are based at Manston and as Andy rightly said, work in conjuction with Go Action Stations. They offer booked trips in the helicopter flying alongside the spitfire. Our grounds at the barn are just one of the pick up points for the helicopter transfer....
I wasn't aware of any flights today, trapped on the Planet of Thanet until later.......
For more info call Skycharter on 01843 825222
