  Bring them back!! At risk of sounding like an old fogey (quite appropriately probably!) political campaigning used to be about people. Back in the day when I was a blue we went to Westminster to meet up, people were accessible and personable, willing to engage with the electorate. Ditto when I grew up and turned red. Now it seems that often even local politicians are in it only for the photo-op and the events. I realise that's a sweeping generalisation, and some reps do a good job of knowing their public, but sadly it seems they are a minority. It is a great loss.
