Would it be an idea, to bring tourist`s flocking here, if we staged a coach smash up along the sea front, with people acting as dead and injured, and plenty of blood stained clothing about, and bodies laying about everywhere? Sick or not? If you`re answer is the same as mine, then please explain to me why million`s of people in this country alone are going to be tuned into their boxes, to watch the 50th anniversary episode of Coronation Street this year which will show just such an event in celebrating it. Of course, if there was a coach smash near the time, the episode would be put back out of so called respect. But then, million`s will be disappointed, as they love this sort of thing, don`t they? I saw this advertised through virgin email who always show irritating, unavoidable adverts like this. So, a big smash up here, million`s love it! Ye or ney?

Colin you have a very good point there, many years ago I would go to see the wall of death, only most done this just to see if the riders went over the top.

Same as many things in modern day life Vic, and which most people never stop to question or really think about.

Interestingly, when the BBC`s Sky At Night programme celebrated it`s 50th anniversary programme in 2007, after running since 1957, they didn`t choose to celebrate by having an asteroid plunging into Earth with associated casualties now did they. Thank heaven there`s some intelligent life still left on the planet.
