Another steam special will run again this year, from London Victoria, to Faversham on May 16th 2010. The train will contain a real ale bar, which will be open throughout the journey. An additional mini excursion, (steam hauled), will run from Faversham to Gillingham and visit Sheerness-on Sea, on the Isle of Sheppey. Sponsored as usual by Shepherd Neame, who will be giving guided tours of their brewery I believe, are an option. The steam special will return via Dover Priory, dropping off at Bromley South on the way back. Details at;
www.shepherdneame.co.uk or phone Shepherd Neame on 01795 542285. The locomotive will be, 70013 `Oliver Cromwell`, one of two Britannia class locomotive`s now in preservation.

Designed in Britain, built in Britain, for British railways by Robert Riddles, born in Britain. All British, like most of our hundreds of preserved steam locomotive`s. P.S. Hope you got your birthday wish Barry.

The Tornado steam train stops at Dover 1652 hours today for a couple of minutes, good photo opportunity.

Thanks for that MRP. Originally, it was to be `Oliver Cromwell`, but I see now you`ve said it`s `Tornado`. Maybe OC`s become unavailable. Another great loco anyway. Hope to see some pics on here later.

Exclusive pictures, only on the Dover forum, taken just over an hour ago. And yes, it`s `TORNADO`.

Thanks Alec. Nice clip Ed, and I`m afraid you`re always going to have W*****`s like that spoiling it for other`s. There are empty heads within railway management who would quite happily like to see steam go. It`s too popular, and like our problems in Dover, if something`s popular, get rid of it!
