Talk to them,please
- 21 March 2009 22:2917873As you all know part of my income is from working in very big gardens and that is where I have been all this week and again next week.
Anyway I am asked alot about plants and what to do to help them grow.
i t was only this week that I was stoped and the person said "Vic I have a big plant in my garden it is growing but each year it does not flower done all the right things in looking after it but it is just not working.
"Well do you talk to it or sit down beside it and feel it.
"No I do not the family would think I have gone mad."
I went on to tell him that if i have plants like that i just talk to them even sing to them and feel them.
Plants are like us in some ways they get lonely and feel isolated at times, so you must make them feel that they are needed so talk to them and put more plants around them make them feel at home.
And let me tell you it works works.

When chatting to plants though one always has to be careful that the neighbours arent watching, because if they are they may very well make attempts to have you certified by the men in white coats. Not everyone understands that plants need chatting up and they might think youve gone totally gaga.
Of course not everyone has the talent to get plants to respond. Remember the song from Paint Your Wagon, sung by Clint Eastwood... it went
"I talk to the trees
but they dont listen to me"
so poor oul Clint couldnt pull it off!
email: dover7@msn.com - 22 March 2009 09:0017884Yes you are right, but I work in very big garden with over forty trees six lawns big pond and a medow and lots more there are no neighbours, now we are geting ready for our bee keeping, I was down there on saturday for over 10hours it was great and today i am in my own garden I am taking it all apart and renewing it all, some cost with that but I hope after it will look good.
