Sorry about the quality of that I grabbed it off another website!
Anyway off we tottered this morning to see the first major event staged by the Bygone Days Memorial Group of Ramsgate. And, for a first event it was very creditable. My only complaint was that they didn't organise the weather very well!
It was what we have come to expect from events such as this and more. Amongst the entertainment was the new "Forces Sweetheart" Kas belting out the 40's standards.
The effervescent Gypsy John and the Lindy Hoppers strutted their stuff.
The Mayor of Ramsgate, Cllr David Green, opened the proceedings watched by Mike the Chairman.
An almost late arrival was the then "Queen Elizabeth" who was presented with a small bouquet.
A large number of vehicles were there, too many to show, but these dispatch bikes caught my eye.
Finally, here's Jude the Food.
All in all a good event. Well worth a visit tomorrow, Sunday.

31 July 2010 18:2763286Yes Paul, it was a large area and running it around the perimeter left a hole in the middle. Still, next year hopefully there will be more stalls. Good luck to them.

Not easy to see in the picture of the mayor opening the event, but the guy in the background reminded me of the weird one from Sparks!
