Hmmmn, so the fact that having two great ugly plastic bins and other smaller bins in my front garden making it look like Steptoe's yard is not a good, practical reason?
Walking along my road today reminds me of those old wartime blitz photographs. Not, of course, damage to building through shelling or air raids but the general depressed and austere setting. They have made everything look gloomy and generally rather depressed and grey.
Of course this coincides with the general economic outlook which is more than just gloomy it's positively suicidal and these bins reflect this gloom.
What's worse is that people have no say in the matter. The jobsworth from Veolia will come round with his clipboard and say " Oim sorry siiir but you are neow under strict hoorders to comply with policy these ARE the rules and you must obey".
What a horrible country this is turning into. I hate it.
