In respect of the re-build after the fire, I have heard a rumour that this scheme is no longer viable in the present economic climate and will not be completed.
Has anyone else heard anything?
Tragic if true.

I have not heard that however I will be meeting with DDC officers tomorrow and see what is happening .The last I heard negations were taken place.
Sue - I rather like the idea of negations taking place....sounds like a group of people simply denying everything until the end of the meeting, a bit like the negative part of the Argument Game in Monty Python.....I love these typos. Have I come to the right room for the five minute denial or do I pay more for the 20 minute denial..?

i would be surprised and disappointed if the developers did not restart the project.
the flats would have great appeal to the londoners that will flock here once the high speed link is up and running.
5 mins walk to the station!!!

17:2437924Would be nice to know, though I suspect after 18 months of the insides being exposed to the elements the developer will most likely just walk away

Come on now Howard, you never said if it was snowing or not.
I beeped my horn at you last week just opposit Peacocks, I could have run you over but you might have banned me from the forum. I was driving that big blue minibus.
Well just have to wait and see about the old church.

21:5937966Don`t churches have roof funds anymore? Or vicars going round for contributions to the church fund? Always used to be like that when I used to go.
