  Ah indeed youre right Phil..dem Wright Bros will get in the way of a good story. But have since looked it up... June 02 1910 was the day of the two direction non stop flight across the channel. I read this on the statue this morning but forgot by the time I got home, need to write these things down nowadays but I knew there was a 2 in it somewhere.
  
  He died the same year while taking part in an air display..and was only 32. He was also known to dabble in motor engines with a guy called Royce.
