    Regardless of how much is paid he is one of the very few footballers that wears his England shirt with pride.He helped the UK win the Olympic bid by tirelessly canvessing other countries and attending high profile functions.He plays 'soccer' in America and in their close season plays Serie A football for no other reason other than to secure a place in this years World Cup.He doesn't need the money but did it purely to keep fit and up to the standard required by the current England manager.The injury must be a very personal blow to him and I for one feel for the young man.

    In Beckham we have an Englishman that is known and respected (loved by the girls) worldwide..why can't we be proud of that for once instead of continually knocking our hero's.
