More and more these days we see families not together, not sitting around the dinner table, no conversation, until the kids reach them dreaded teenage years and its like they suddenly turn into monsters, just as tho possessed.
With latch door kids out there, young parents unable to cope,
bills coming out of our ears(3 ears if its me lol)
jobs being cut everywhere
now axa asking its staff to work for a week for nowt or face redundancies
Blimey I feel like I have an opinion on just about everything I have read on the DF today ..most of it stems from recent personal experiences. Every evening Natascha and I plus Mum if not working sit down for an evening meal together in the dining room..no TV. On Sunday we sat down to a late lunch with 16 of our family it was fantastic fun as we chatted took the mickey out of each other and generally had a super time. My sisters kids are 18,25,30 and 32 and they all turned up with their other halves. My brother and his son arrived(his wife was visiting family in Eire). It was mad but something I had been missing out on for years . I supose its up to us as parents to set aside some time in our busy lives and to spend it with our loved ones before its too late. Lead from the front MacDuff or whoever...
