    Just walked round the Mill Pond and it is still a good 3 inches lower than normal. There are silt patches drying out near the edges on the far side and in one area we have had a team in today try to clear silt away to allow some water to get there.

    Ian you may be right about the overgrowth of plantation but as you are aware the Mill is up stream and the water is low there, so there must be some extraction of water going on by the water authorities. As I said it is normal for this time of year but with the rain we have had I am surprised it is this bad.
